Synchrony needs to take a good look at the definition of customer service and loyalty. They have closed TWO of my cards because I paid them in full and haven’t used them in over a year! All while issuing me a different card.
Synchrony Bank keeps increasing my credit limit, I guess that happens when I buy something from Google and then pay it off and then buy something else and pay it off again. So far I have a good experience with synchrony bank. It would depend on the credit card you apply for. In most cases you would receive the physical card in business days.

They all had a $0 balance and the reasons they gave were bogus – I always paid my bills. They did me a favor because now I won’t be shopping at any of their stores, period. In the last 2 months, both my Lowes account and my Matress Firm account have been getting charged late fees. All of a sudden my payment method doesn’t work, and although they “appreciate my weekly payments” that cover the monthly balance and then some…it’s not enough to avoid the late fee.
Chase will then post the largest drafts first causing anything less that was originally covered by your balance to also overdraft. I’ve overdrafted several times because of this. The worst bank ever, don’t deal with them because they have the worst customer service and they will close your account for no reason. You will regret the moment you deal with Synchrony. I just recently had my 0 balance card closed with no explanation. I attempted to make a purchase and was declined.

I have filed disputes and they take about 90 days and then do nothing. In fact, my bill went up instead of down. I had a balance of $8739 in November. I bought some stuff online that was returned and then I purchased it again by going to the store.

On my credit report and I’m now going to court for non payment. Sold to a second company was charged off and they still want the full amount, which is all interest. Stay away from Carecredit, medical bills not disclosed as such. I have had synchrony bank for other accounts and all paid for with no issues . Every comment on here about this awful bank I have experienced.

Your credit card company sends you a statement every month detailing all your activity, your balance, minimum payment, and due date. Not happy because I had paid at least 4 times the minimum the month before. A lot of my payments will carry over into the next month.
They said one thing was out of stock but they could go ahead and deliver the other two. The salesperson I dealt with went on vacation and handed it to someone else and then she went on vacation and handed it to somebody else. They never put SOLD on my two items they were supposed to deliver.
I’m realizing a lot of people were punished for paying off balances early/in full…only to have their accounts closed or limits reduced which hurts their credit! Why do so many with the same experience of being punished credit-wise for doing the right thing? I had several cards with them since 2014 and always paid them off and on time. Then, Covid happened and they panicked. They closed all my cards except for the one with the highest interest rate. So, I did them a favor as they did for me and at least called them and not like how they did me on mute, to cancel the remaining card.
