Though they fail to find Anna, Hans and his army are able to apprehend Elsa and take her back to Arendelle as a prisoner. At a young age, at Anna's behest, she and Elsa would spend much of their time using the latter's powers for their own enjoyment, against their parents' wishes. One night, five-year-old Anna[9] suggests they build a snowman, to which eight-year-old Elsa agrees. The sisters head into the castle's throne room and create a winter field of snow.
Early life
In reality, Marshmallow was behind Olaf and approached Kristoff's snow anchor, despite the smaller snowman's attempts to stop him. After flicking Olaf from his leg, Marshmallow began to pull on the rope, smashing Kristoff's head into the cliff in the process, to Anna's dismay. After he brought the pair to eye-level, Marshmallow bellowed at them, telling them not to return. Acquiescing to the demand, Anna grabbed Kristoff's knife and cut the rope, enabling the duo to fall from Marshmallow's clutches, landing in the soft snow two hundred feet below. At the valley, the trolls greeted the visitors and were surprised to see that it was the royal family.

Can I return or exchange the hair?
Fortunately, Anna's sacrifice for Elsa has constituted an act of true love, thus breaking her curse and thawing her frozen heart. With help from Olaf, Elsa comes to realize that love is the key to controlling her powers. As Anna watches in amazement, Elsa frees Arendelle from its eternal winter, effectively restoring peace to the kingdom. Anna calmly confronts him before fiercely punching him in the face and knocking him into the fjord. Anna and Elsa share another hug, and as the sisters embrace, Anna looks lovingly at Kristoff, showing that she reciprocates his romantic affections.
A Regal Elsa Bun
While Elsa believes it's because they feared her and saw her as a monster, Anna believes otherwise. Pabbie is unable to uncover the exact reason the king and queen left, but reveals where they were heading; a land known as Mist Haven. While Elsa still worries, Anna stays positive and suggests they travel to Mist Haven to find out the truth for themselves. Reluctant about the idea, Elsa denies it, claiming she doesn't want to abandon her kingdom and fears Hans and his brothers will strike should they leave Arendelle. Unable to convince her sister to tag along and grant permission, Anna secretly boards a ship and travels to Mist Haven, herself, in hopes of finding the truth about their parents' mysterious journey.

However, she finally summoned her courage and knocked; to her surprise, the doors yielded. Remembering Elsa's reaction after meeting Hans, Anna suggested that Kristoff and Olaf remain outside, to which they grudgingly agreed. Amidst their discussion, Kristoff interrupted and had Sven stop, alarmed about something. Kristoff silenced Anna while he gazed into the darkness, noticing the eyes of many wolves. Realizing the danger, Kristoff urged Sven to run and prepared himself to fend off the predators. Worrying Kristoff would be overwhelmed, Anna grabbed the ice harvester's lute and brought down upon a wolf.
Realizing Elsa could have fled to the North Mountain,[7] Anna asked Kristoff if the events at the mountain seemed "magical" to test her theory. Frustrated with his lack of funds to purchase supplies, Kristoff brusquely confirmed Anna's suspicions while simultaneously insulting Oaken for his exorbitant prices. Angered, the store owner violently expelled Kristoff from the premises, much to Anna's shock.
When she is thawed out, her hair returns to its original state without the platinum blonde streak. Anna stayed in the caverns, huddled up against a rock clutching her satchel for some time. Anna felt completely lost, unable to stand because of the grief that weighed so heavily upon her. With small steps Anna began to rise from the cavern's floor and slowly make her way towards the exit. She had to scale a wall and leap across a chasm, but eventually up, to clamber out of the cavern and stand in the new light of dawn.
Elsa's fear continued to intensify and eventually manifested as an icy blast that struck Anna in the heart; the pain of the impact sent Anna to her knees. As she brought a winter dress and a pair of boots over, Anna tried to question Oaken about Elsa's whereabouts, at which the store owner remarked that only Anna was crazy enough to be out in the current weather. The trading post door suddenly swung open and Anna found herself face to face with an ice harvester, Kristoff. All business, Kristoff barely gave Anna a second glance, interested only in obtaining supplies. When Oaken inquired about the source of the stormy weather, Kristoff stated that it was coming from the North Mountain.
How to Create Elsa from Frozen's Signature Braid
Most of the tales focus on the sisters rebuilding the bond they've once shared, including Memory and Magic, where an eager young troll claims to have the power to restore the memories of Anna that Pabbie erased after the childhood incident. At an unknown amount of time later, Arendelle has been reclaimed by the two sisters, and Hans is dethroned; Anna even got her hand bruised from punching Hans in the face. While in the castle's east wing preparing for her wedding with Kristoff, Anna discovers a portrait of Ingrid, Helga, and Gerda, which she places in the great hall. Before the wedding starts, Elsa, struck by Anna's past decision to postpone the wedding to go to the Enchanted Forest, asks her why she chose to do so. Anna cheerfully reasons that she couldn't be happy if her big sister wasn't as well. Following the end of Ingrid's curse, Hook, seemingly with Mr. Gold's help, informs the group that he discovers a door to Arendelle hidden in an abandoned mansion.

Unlike her older sister Elsa, Anna is optimistic, energetic, awkward, perky, and generally far from elegant. She is also free-spirited and has garnered an extrovert mentality after years of living within the confines of the castle gates without her sister's company. One of Anna's early designs by Chad Stubblefield (pictured here on the page) revealed that Anna was originally planned to have platinum blonde hair but was changed to strawberry blonde. If your kid has superlong hair, this hairdo is a great choice if you're new to this whole braiding thing.
At the chapel, Anna stands by her sister's side during the crowning (where she shares a cute wave with Hans). To Anna's surprise and delight, Elsa initiates a conversation, allowing the sisters to bond for the first time in years. They are interrupted by their steward Kai, who introduces the snide Duke of Weselton. When the Duke offers Elsa her first dance as queen, Elsa mischievously volunteers Anna instead.
She is the second-born daughter of King Agnarr and Queen Iduna, the younger sister of Elsa the Snow Queen, and the contemporary ruler of Arendelle. During their childhood, an accident involving Elsa's magic created a rift between the two sisters, leaving Anna devoid of love for many years. When their estrangement incidentally triggers an eternal winter, Anna embarks on a perilous journey to save her kingdom and mend the broken bond between herself and her sister.
But when circumstances resulted in the exposure of Elsa's powers, Anna could not help but try once more to reconnect with her sister, demonstrating a remarkable amount of faith. Three years later, in the autumn, Anna was still enjoying the time she had with her family and her kingdom. Anna went up the hill from the town to a pumpkin patch where Olaf was basking in the sun. Anna reassured him by explaining how much she enjoyed her time, and while somethings changed, others did not. Later that day she and Olaf joined Kristoff in the town square; the citizens gathered in celebration of the harvest, where Elsa also joined them.
Though initially angered by the clumsiness of the stranger, Anna quickly becomes smitten with Hans's charm and good looks. After introducing themselves, Anna and Hans become acquainted, and apparently hit it off, only to be interrupted by the coronation bells. After Anna's heart is frozen, her hair turns silvery-white and her body becomes covered in snowflakes and ice.
Inside the castle's chapel, Anna stood beside Elsa while the latter was crowned; when Anna spotted Hans in the crowd, the prince gave her a friendly wave, which she returned. After Elsa grasped the orb and scepter, the bishop ordained her as queen, and Anna watched the crowd rejoice for the new ruler. Pabbie then warned the rest of the family of Elsa's growing powers, commenting that although beautiful, they could become extremely dangerous if not controlled. At this, Agnarr decided that the best course of action was to lock the castle gates, reduce the castle staff, and limit Elsa's contact with people in order to keep her abilities concealed. True to his word, Agnarr had Elsa and her belongings moved to a new room, to Anna's despair.
